Dana M. Binder, Ph.D. has been a trial consultant since 2006. She received her Ph.D. in social psychology from the University of Wyoming with an emphasis in psychology and law. Her academic research areas included jury reform, juror reasoning and jury decision making. Her dissertation examined the impacts of courtroom technology on juror decision making.
Since beginning her career as a trial consultant, she has been involved in all aspects of the field from writing voir dire questions and juror questionnaires to preparing witnesses for deposition or trial, designing and conducting jury research studies and focus groups, to conducting shadow juries and post-trial interviews. She has experience in venues all around the country including Puerto Rico.
Dr. Binder has given invited speeches to law firms and professional organizations on topics such as gender bias in the legal profession, jury selection, implicit bias, and the benefits of a thematic approach.
